The Indianola City Council met for a regular meeting on Monday, March 23. The meeting can be viewed on the City’s YouTube channel.
Among the items that Council approved during the regular meeting were:
- The submission of a grant application to Warren County Philanthropic Partnership to upfit the Wildland UTV Equipment for the Indianola Fire Department.
- A Termination Agreement by and between the City of Indianola and Inception Group, LLC terminating the Agreement for Private Development and Minimum Assessment Agreement by and between the City of Indianola and Inception Group, LLC.
- A First Amendment with Sunstone Investments, LLC.
Additionally, Mayor Steve Richardson, through Mayor Pro Tem Ron Dalby, proclaimed March 23-27, 2026, as "Severe Weather Awareness Week" and March 25, 2025, as "Medal of Honor Recognition Day" in the City of Indianola.

Next Council Meeting
The Council will next meet for a series of public hearings starting at 6 p.m., followed by a regular meeting at approximately 6:15 p.m., on Monday, April 6. It is open to the public and will be held in the Council Chambers at Indianola City Hall, located at 110 N 1st Street, Indianola, IA 50125.
A livestream will be available through the City of Indianola's YouTube channel.

- April 6, 2026, at 6 p.m. regarding the proposed maximum tax levy for FY27.
- April 6, 2026, at 6:15 p.m. regarding the proposition to authorize a loan agreement for Street Equipment.
- April 6, 2026, at 6:15 p.m. regarding the proposition to authorize a loan agreement for Public Safety Equipment.
- April 6, 2026, at 6:15 p.m. regarding the proposition to authorize a loan agreement for IWC Capital Items.
- April 6, 2026, at 6:15 p.m. regarding the proposition to authorize a loan agreement for P&R Equipment and Vehicles.
