Additionally, Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson proclaimed March 10, 2026, as “Mighty Maddy Day” in Indianola. Throughout her courageous six-year battle with cancer, she inspired Indianola with her strength, kindness and compassion.

Mayor Richardson encourages all residents to honor Maddy’s legacy by showing the same courage and love she shared with others and by supporting families and children facing pediatric cancer.
