Temporary Closures Planned
To ensure the safe delivery and installation of the tree, temporary street and sidewalk closures from 7-10 a.m. were in effect:
- North Howard Street, between Ashland and Salem avenues, was closed.
- A portion of the sidewalk closest to the Warren County Justice Center was also closed.
- Parking was restricted in the immediate area while heavy equipment was in operation.

Tree Arrival & Setup Details
The tree was escorted in through North Howard Street and carefully installed using cranes and other equipment. For public safety, the area around the tree was blocked during setup.
The installation included a steel base, protective plywood sheets and concrete barricades to secure the tree.
Community members were invited to watch from a safe distance as the tree was installed. Recommended viewing areas included the front of the Indianola Chamber of Commerce building and the steps of the Warren County Justice Center.
Timeline and Traffic Impact
The tree arrived around 8:30 a.m., with most of the setup completed by 1 p.m. A few parking spots may remain blocked while lighting is installed.
Updates will be shared on the City’s website and social media channels as needed.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as community partners and crews work together to create a memorable experience for all in Indianola to enjoy.
