Tornado Warning issued for Indianola, Warren County until 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

UPDATE (1:35A.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2024): The Tornado Warning, issued earlier by the National Weather Service in Des Moines, has expired for Indianola and Warren County. 

Indianola and Warren County remain under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, and a Tornado Watch until 3 a.m. Please monitor local news outlets and take shelter if it becomes necessary.

UPDATE (12:50A.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2024): The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Tornado Warning for Indianola and Warren County effective until 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7. 

Please monitor local news outlets and take shelter now. Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
