UPDATE (8:45 p.m. Monday, June 16): The Indianola City Council held a regular meeting on Monday, June 16.

Among the items Council approved were:

  • Payment application to Sternquist Construction for the W Clinton Ave Reconstruction Project.
  • Determination of surplus property at 704 N 6th St and authorizing sale.
  • The submission of a FEMA Fire Prevention and Safety Grant for a fire safety house trailer.
  • Fiscal Year 26 meeting schedule.
  • Appointments to boards and commissions.

During the meeting, Mayor Steve Richardson proclaimed June 2025 as “Small Cities Month” in Indianola, encouraging all citizens to work together this month and throughout the year to invest in small cities and towns to better the lives of all citizens. Read Proclamation

The Indianola City Council will next meet for a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, June 26. The next regular Council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday July 7.

The Indianola City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 16.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Council Chambers at Indianola City Hall, located at 110 N 1st Street, Indianola, IA 50125. 

A livestream of the meeting will be available through the City of Indianola's YouTube channel.
