Election Day is coming up on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Here’s what you need to know about voting:

Who Can Vote

To register to vote in Iowa, you:

  • Must be at least 17 years old.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must be an Iowa resident.
  • Cannot be a convicted felon, unless your voting rights have been restored by the Governor, including through Executive Order.
  • Cannot be judged mentally incompetent by a court of law.
  • Cannot claim the right to vote in any other place.

Where To Vote

There are several polling locations in Indianola. To find which location you should go to vote on Election Day, please visit the Secretary of State's website and follow the prompts.
