UPDATE (Wednesday, September 4, 2024): The Indianola City Council met for a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 3.

Among the items Council approved in the regular meeting were:
- An ordinance to amend speed regulations, establishing a reduced school speed zone on East 2nd Avenue.
- Amendment Number 1 to the School Resource Officer Agreement pursuant to Chapter 28 between the City of Indianola, Iowa and the Indianola Community School District.
- An agreement for cooperative public service between the City of Indianola, Iowa and Warren County, Iowa.
- An agreement for medical director services.
- The second consideration of an ordinance amending the City Code of the City of Indianola, Iowa by adding regulations for the keeping of urban chickens within city limits.

The next regular Council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Council Chambers at Indianola City Hall, located at 110 N 1st Street, Indianola, IA 50125.
