UPDATE (4:20 P.M. July 2): At 4:08 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, the National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Flash Flood Warning that includes Indianola and Warren County effective until 10:15 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area as more thunderstorms move into the region. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

The Tornado Watch that includes Indianola and Warren County remains effective until 9 p.m. Please monitor local news outlets and take shelter if it becomes necessary.

ORIGINAL POST (3:15 P.M. July 2): At 2:53 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, the National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning that includes Indianola and Warren County effective until 3:45 p.m.
Additionally, at 3:14 p.m., the National Weather Service in Des Moines issued a Tornado Watch that includes Indianola and Warren County effective until 9 p.m. Indianola and Warren County are also under a Flash Flood Watch until 1 a.m. Wednesday, July 3.
