For determining this year’s recipient, all nominees were reviewed by the Engagement Committee and selected this year’s winner.
In their nomination submission, this employee was described by a colleague as modeling the qualities highlighted in the City's mission statement – personal dedication, integrity, accountability, innovation and sensitivity to the needs of the members of the community. They are innovative, a key component in the success of their department and instrumental in creating programs. In addition to their work, this individual volunteers as a coach and is well-known throughout the community.
We are proud to announce that School Resource Officer Jay Hackett is our 2023 City of Indianola Employee of the Year! Officer Hackett joined the Indianola Police Department in 2014 and has served as the School Resource Officer since 2019.
