In honor of Veterans Day, the City of Indianola wishes to express our deep gratitude to all veterans who have served or continue to serve our nation with unwavering dedication and sacrifice.
Since Veterans Day this year is Saturday, November 11, 2023, the holiday will be observed by City employees on Friday, November 10. Thus, all non-emergency departments will be closed or have adjusted schedules from November 10-11.
- City Hall as well as the Indianola Parks & Recreation Department and Senior Activity Center will be closed Friday, November 10. The Indianola Fire and Police departments will continue to serve Indianola.
- The Indianola Public Library will operate during regular business hours on Friday, November 10. It will be closed Saturday, November 11.
- The Indianola Wellness Campus will operate during regular business hours on Friday, November 10. It will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 11. There will be no group exercise classes, Learn and Play or pool availability Saturday, November 11.
- The Brush Facility will be closed Saturday, November 11. The mulch loading service originally scheduled this day has been moved to Saturday, November 18.
All City departments and services will resume regular business hours on Sunday, November 12. City Hall will reopen Monday, November 13.
We encourage everyone to take a moment on Veterans Day to reflect on the sacrifices made by our veterans and to express appreciation to those who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. Their commitment to our country is commendable, and we owe them a debt of gratitude.
