Plan to have lots of fun this summer while you learn about fire and the job of a firefighter in this course offered by members of the Indianola Fire Department. Discover how hard it is to escape to safety in the smoke house fire safety trailer. Learn how to douse flames with a fire extinguisher. Tackle the firefighter obstacle course, and model real fire gear. Handle the huge hoses and improve your aim with water target practice. We will finish with a fire hose race, trophies and wacky water fights, so dress to get wet and bring a towel! All students will receive an official IJF Academy t-shirt, plus a certificate upon graduation.

To ensure a safe environment, class size will be limited and masks are required for all participants.

We ask if your child has attended this class in previous years that they do not enroll again, in order to provide this opportunity for as many as possible.

A signed waiver is required and can be downloaded from our website. Please bring the completed form with your child on the first day of the academy.
