Tips for Trails Program

Contributions
Utility customers of Indianola have the opportunity to voluntarily contribute funds through their utility bill to support the city trails system.

Donation Options
Customers may choose to do one or both of these options:
  • First, a customer may elect to "round up" their bill to the nearest dollar with the additional rounding amounts being credited to the trails program.
  • Second, a customer may add a flat dollar amount to their bill with the additional payment accumulated for trails.
With either option, or a combination of both, the amount contributed will be accumulated for the trails system and is tax deductible.

Trails are an essential element to Indianola's park system and funds are scarce. If you support trails and would like to see them enhanced, please contribute to this effort.

Trail Importance
Trails are important because they have a universal appeal to all ages and are widely used by walkers, strollers, joggers, bikers, rollerbladers, skateboarders and wheelchairs.

Trails benefit everyone and provide needed and safe non-vehicular transportation for the community.  We just don't have enough of them and need to develop the comprehensive trail system in and around Indianola.
