A Building Permit is required to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish any building or structure.
File an application identifying the work to be covered by the permit
Provide a description, preferable by street address
Indicate the intended use; include plans, diagrams and specifications, as required by the Building Official
Issuance of a Building Permit requires site plan approval on all new buildings and additions
All construction or work for which the permit is required is subject to inspection by the Building Official. The applicant is responsible for contacting the Community Development Department at appropriate intervals of construction.
Permit is usually granted in 2 to 5 days dependent on type of construction and size.
