Held during the 2018 National Balloon Classic in Indianola, participants will learn the history of ballooning, the science of how balloons operate, and other important factors in piloting a balloon. Hands-on activities and learning with licensed balloon pilots, experienced crew members, and staff from the National Balloon Museum.
Camp activities will take place at the Balloon Field from 9:00am - Noon each day. A visit to the balloon museum is included. Transportation provided from the Balloon Field to the YMCA midday for more balloon-themed and recreational activities in the afternoon. Parents may pick up students at the Y at 4:00pm or before. Bring a daily sack lunch, swim suit and towel. Each participant will receive a 2018 camp T-shirt and two passes to an evening at the National Balloon Classic. All activities at the Balloon Field will be subject to weather conditions.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes
(no flip flops or sandals).

A FREE running group for learning the basics of training and racing for all levels of runners. We run rain or shine, cold or heat - but we will wait for a storm to pass. All paces welcome, including walkers. If there is lightning, we will not run.
Prior to each run, there will be a 10 minute presentation great for those learning the sport. Have fun, meet other runners, and learn the basics of running while preparing for any of the many area races such as the Loop the Lake, Dam to Dam, Living History Farms & more.
