    A Grief Support Group presented by HCI Hospice, facilitated by Maurice Dyer “The quality and quantity of understanding support you get during your work of mourning will have a major influence on your capacity to heal. You cannot, nor should you try to, do this alone. Drawing on the experiences and encouragement of friends and fellow grievers is not a weakness but a healthy human need.” ~ Alan Wolfelt, Understanding Your Grief Free and open to all, this grief support group will offer a safe place for people to do the work of mourning as they search for appropriate and effective ways to heal. Meets the first Tuesday of each month.

  2. Beginning Runner's Group

    A FREE running group for learning the basics of training and racing for all levels of runners. We run rain or shine, cold or heat - but we will wait for a storm to pass. All paces welcome, including walkers. If there is lightning, we will not run. Prior to each run, there will be a 10 minute presentation great for those learning the sport. Have fun, meet other runners, and learn the basics of running while preparing for any of the many area races such as the Loop the Lake, Dam to Dam, Living History Farms & more.

    Improving strength and balance is the most effective way to prevent falls and decrease risk of injury. Resistance bands are an excellent tool to keep muscles strong and improve posture. Resistance bands are perfect for those beginning an exercise program and can be adjusted to make any routine more difficult. Come join us to learn exercises to improve balance and strength of upper and lower body. Free class for adults 50 or better. Resistance bands will be provided free of charge by Athletico Physical Therapy-Indianola.
