Spice up your weekday with a fun lunchtime cooking class! Join Hy-Vee Dietitian Denise Boozell for a fun hands-on hour of preparing and cooking a delicious and nutritious midday meal including an entrée, side, and healthier dessert. Learn some new culinary skills, inspire the desire to cook again, savor a great lunch, and leave with all of the healthy & easy recipes so you can duplicate the meal at home. Grab your friends (or come make some new friends!) and enjoy some lunchtime learning.

State of the art fun & entertainment after school in the Indianola Middle School Cafeteria! The Zone is a drop-in program and students will check in with a supervisor when they arrive. After a healthy snack, students choose among activities, challenges, homework help, gaming competitions, craft projects and contests.

Do YOU have what it takes to be a first-class babysitter? In this class presented by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach you will learn your responsibilities
as a babysitter, what parents expect of you, how to care for infants and young children, age-appropriate activities, safety, and how to handle emergencies. Open to boys and girls in 5th grade and above. The registration fee includes a workbook, childcare resources, and snack. Participants who attend all three sessions will
receive a certificate of participation. Each participant needs to bring a baby doll and a children’s toy for use in class.
On Wednesday, March 8, students have the option of arriving at 2:45 pm following early dismissal; formal instruction will not begin until 3:45 pm.

You will also see special apps for News, Weather, Podcasts, individual TV programs and radio content. Your iPad becomes your own little mini TV or can AirPlay from it’s screen to
your TV to show off favorite programs, apps or your own photos slideshow on the Big Screen!
Discover how to make the most of your new technology in this series of hands-on workshops with Becky Clausen. If you took last year’s classes, feel free to come back for a refresher now that the iPads have the new iOS 10 looks and features. Each person must bring their own iPad, Apple ID and password, and a thirst for learning! Before coming to your first class, please update your iPad to the latest operating system. Need help? Come 30 minutes early.
