    Th is is the year that the iPad takes the starring role in the new iOS 11 operating system. Apple is promising to “bring the iPad to life like never before” with totally new capabilities - making it more of a true laptop replacement. Nearly everything will have new functionality, including the file system, Notes, iMessages, app switching, Photos, a Mac like dock, scanning, Control Center, and a new keyboard to mention just a few goodies. Come join the class to see just how amazing your iPad can be.

    Hy-Vee's kids cooking classes are a great way to get your children to try new foods while being hands-on in the kitchen. Your child will have the chance to learn about the importance of including all the food groups in his/her diet. Join Hy-Vee Dietitian Denise Boozell for a fun, hands-on hour of measuring, stirring, preparing, and sampling nutrition-packed recipes. For boys and girls in both fourth and fifth grades.

    The Zone is a drop-in program and students will check in with a supervisor when they arrive. Students leaving before 5:00 pm will also be asked to check out. Parents do not need to be present. The Zone will be closed on school holidays, early dismissal days, teacher work days, and when the school closes for inclement weather. For a complete list of Zone rules, please visit our website.

  6. Children's Costume Party & Parade

    October 28, 2017, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Warren County Courthouse Lawn

    Join Indianola Parks & Recreation for a morning of fun with games and fall activities on the lawn, hayrack rides, and trick or treating at business surrounding The Square. Take your photo with members of the Iowa League of Heroes and Little Princess Party Princesses. Want to take part in the costume contest? Register before 11:15 am, when we will line up on Howard Street for costume judging. Then we'll parade once around The Square before the contest winners are awarded trophies at 11:30 am! Sponsored by Bob's Custom Trophies and the Record Herald & Indianola Tribune.
