    Relax and invigorate at the same time as our volunteer instructor leads you through exercises in the park! Improve your flexibility, balance, and strength in a unique setting. Calm your mind and reduce stress as you work through the exercises amidst the fresh air, blooming flowers, and peaceful setting. Instructors will vary each week to provide variety. All you need is your own mat, towel, and water bottle.

  3. Rounded Minds Fall Soccer

    Give your child a giant step ahead in learning with this unique opportunity to move, learn, laugh and play, all while learning a new language. Every Rounded Minds™ class is designed and led by attentive experts committed to providing safe, creative and fun educational experiences. Each of the programs is also designed for them to start learning Spanish naturally and effortlessly through language immersion techniques. And the best part is that your child will be having fun! This high-energy program is led by Coach Raul Cunarro who will introduce children to fundamental soccer skills by using creative games, positive reinforcement, and even songs. Children will learn the basic rules of the game, sportsmanship and teamwork. Children should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Shin guards are also recommended. This class will be held outside on the grass in front of the Activity Center. Please dress for the weather. (No inside classes will be held.)

    This popular deep muscle-toning program develops muscular tone and skeletal strength so you look good and feel great. Measure your progress! Aft er only 3-4 one-hour sessions, you can expect to trim as much as 1 to 2 inches from the hips, thighs, and abdominal areas. No impact based with isotonic and isometric principles for fast toning results. Also great for helping with aches and pains. Instructor is Alice Gaumer.

    September 25, 2018, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM @ Depart & Return to the Indianola Activity Center, 2204 W. 2nd Ave. Please arrive by 8:45 am to check in.

    Join us as we explore the stores, museums and specialty shops of Amana and Middle Amana. Shop for crafts, wines, meat, bakery items, linens and woolens. See artists create everything from candy to furniture as they were made more than a century ago. We’ll eat lunch (Dutch treat) at one of the authentic German Restaurants where the food is served family style. Wear comfortable shoes as the shops and attractions in both villages are within walking distance from each other. Dress for comfortable walking and shopping. Cold drinks will be provided.

Join Hy-Vee Dietitian, Denise Boozell, for a fun, hands-on hour of measuring, stirring, preparing, and sampling nutrition-packed recipes.

  7. Beginning Runner's Group

    A FREE running group for learning the basics of training and racing for all levels of runners. We run rain or shine, cold or heat - but we will wait for a storm to pass. All paces welcome, including walkers. If there is lightning, we will not run. Prior to each run, there will be a 10 minute presentation great for those learning the sport. Have fun, meet other runners, and learn the basics of running while preparing for any of the many area races such as the Loop the Lake, Dam to Dam, Living History Farms & more.
