    Why not take a swing at summer tennis lessons?! Prerequisite: Willingness to learn and have fun!     Give your child a giant step ahead in learning with this unique opportunity to move, learn, laugh and play, all while learning a new language. Rounded Minds™ is designed for children to start learning Spanish naturally and effortlessly through language immersion techniques. This high-energy soccer program is led by Coach Raul Cunarro who will introduce children to fundamental soccer skills by using creative games, positive reinforcement, and even songs. Children will learn the basic rules of the game while practicing sportsmanship and teamwork, all while learning basic Spanish. Children should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Shin guards are also recommended.

  11. Flying High! Hot Air Balloon Camp - Session 1

    July 29, 2019, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Memorial Balloon Field & Indianola YMCA

    Flying High! offers a behind-the scenes adventure into the world of hot air ballooning. Participants will learn the history of ballooning, the basic science of how balloons operate, and other important factors in piloting a balloon. This camp offers a unique opportunity for hands-on activities and learning with licensed balloon pilots, experienced crew members, and staff from the National Balloon Museum. Camp activities will take place at the Memorial Balloon Field from 9:00 am - Noon each day. A visit to the balloon museum will also be included. Transportation will be provided from the balloon field to the YMCA midday for more fun, balloon-themed and recreational activities in the afternoon. Parents may pick up their students at the YMCA at 4:00pm or before.Bring a sack lunch each day and a swimming suit and towel. All activities at the balloon field will be subject to weather conditions. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals).
