Indianola Hometown Pride

Indianola Hometown Pride

Do you want to make a difference in the future of Indianola?

Residents of Indianola and the surrounding area are invited to join our brand new Hometown Pride team!

Hometown Pride is a program that brings community members together to improve their hometown.

Indianola is forming a Hometown Pride team of local volunteers that will work together to accomplish projects that make a difference in our hometown, and boost community pride.

What will Hometown Pride do?

It’s up to you! Past Hometown Pride teams in other communities have done things like:

• Build new playgrounds or trails

• Rehabilitate old homes and buildings

• Beautify streets with art, landscaping and signs

• Attract new businesses to town

Who else is involved in this program?

10 counties across Iowa participate in Hometown Pride, a program of Keep Iowa Beautiful. The Warren County chapter is a partnership of the Warren County Economic Development Corporation, Warren County, and the communities of Indianola, Carlisle, Cumming, Hartford, Milo, Norwalk, and New Virginia. The program is supported by the Indianola City Council.

How Can I Help?

There are 2 primary ways to get involved:

1. Apply to join the Indianola Hometown Pride committee. We will meet once a month to plan our projects.

2. Add your name to the volunteer roster to help as needed. Needs may include landscaping, fundraising, publicity, painting, event planning and more.

Click here to download the “volunteer interest form” and submit by February 9.
