    On the last day of the pool season, we throw a party for the dogs! Dogs will follow their owners' rules, must have current vaccinations, and will remain leashed until inside the facility. Inside, they will be accompanied by their family at all times. Slides will be closed.

    Come to the library for an eclipse viewing event! While we aren't in the "totality zone," we're close enough for quite a spectacular show when the moon travels between the earth and the sun. We'll have eclipse glasses available for when the time comes, and will have the big screen set up inside to view images and video from places where the eclipse is total.

    Relax and invigorate at the same time as our volunteer instructor leads you through exercises in the park! Improve your flexibility, balance, and strength in a unique setting. Calm your mind and reduce stress as you work through the exercises amidst the fresh air, blooming flowers, and peaceful setting. Instructors will vary each week to provide variety.     This high-energy soccer program is led by experienced soccer coaches who introduce children to fundamental soccer skills by using creative games, positive reinforcement, and even songs, all while learning Spanish. Children will learn the basic rules of the game while practicing sportsmanship and teamwork. Children should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Shin guards are also recommended. Classes will be held outside on the front lawn of the Activity Center.

    Nurses from Warren County Healthy Services will provide free monthly checks for blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, and pulse oximetry. They will also offer general discussion and education on specific conditions, medications, or mobility and balance issues for clients and answer questions (at a nursing level) with referral to a physician as deemed appropriate. Screenings typically take 10-15 minutes. To avoid waiting, please call 961-9420 to schedule an appointment

We will meet at the Indianola Activity Center and walk a portion of the trail along West 2nd Ave. So if you're tired of walking alone or want to meet other walkers, put on your walking shoes, grab your water bottle, and come ready to have fun! Choose your distance: Approximately 2/3 of a mile west to Y Street and back 1 3/4 miles west to R63 and back 1/4 mile east to Spruce Street and back 2/3 mile east to Kenwood and back Come for the walk...then stay for a cup of coffee!
