Reading Challenge - How It Works

Read, attend events, use your library, earn prizes.

Kids - birth through (finished) 3rd grade

• Pick up a paper log at library front desk
• Earn a spin on the prize wheel for every 7 days that you read
• Complete the Reading Challenge to earn an awesome backpack
• Complete the Discovery Challenge to earn 2 extra spins on the prize wheel

Tweens - (finished) 4th & 5th grade

• Earn scratch tickets when you check items out from the library, attend library events, and turn in book reviews
• Winning scratch tickets earn an immediate prize
• Losing scratch tickets become raffle tickets for End-of-Summer Tween Grand Prizes

Teens - (finished) 6th through 12th grade

• Earn scratch tickets when you check items out from the library, attend library events, and turn in book reviews
• Winning scratch tickets earn an immediate prize
• Losing scratch tickets become raffle tickets for End-of-Summer Teen Grand Prizes

Adults - age 18+

By Books

• Pick up a paper log at the library front desk OR track your reading using the BEANSTACK app
• Earn a raffle ticket for every 2 books that you read
• Complete the Reading Challenge by reading 8 books
• Earn extra raffle tickets by attending events and submitting book reviews

By Time

• Pick up a paper log at the library front desk OR track your reading using the BEANSTACK app
• Earn a raffle ticket for every 7 days that you read
• Complete the Reading Challenge by reading for 4 weeks
• Earn extra raffle tickets by attending events and submitting book reviews
