We have appreciated your flexibility and patience as we experimented with a new way to help you purchase plants during this time of social distancing.
We’ll be sending customers a short survey that will help us find out your preferences for future sales.
New Format for 2020 Plant Sale
To keep the public and staff safe during this health emergency, procedures for the 2020 Buxton Plant Sale will be different.
Plants will be offered for sale beginning on Tuesday, April 14, through Friday, April 24.
All plants for sale may be viewed by clicking on the link for the Plant Sale Catalogat right. The catalog includes pricing. Quantities are limited, and will be sold on a first-come, first served basis.
In order to make a purchase, customers have two options:
- Download an order form, complete and save it, and email the saved form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
(PLEASE NOTE: MAC/APPLE/IPAD users will experience difficulty with this form. We advise calling your in your order instead. Our apologies!)
- Call the Parks & Recreation office during regular office hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday (except Thursdays 9:00 am – 5:00 pm) to place a phone order.
Forms of Payment
Due to circumstances, this year payment must be made with a debit or credit card: (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and Diners) or by electronic check (account number and routing number required).
Pickup or Delivery
Staff will deliver plants to customers with a minimum order of $40 who live within Indianola city limits . Deliveries will be made on Fridays, April 24 – May 1.
All others will need to make an appointment to pick up plants at the City Greenhouse parking lot. Pickup dates will be Tuesday and Friday mornings, April 21 – May 1. City residents also have the option of picking up their plants at the greenhouse instead of home delivery. Pickup appointments will be made with staff at the time orders are placed.
