The department serves as the public information source for the City of Indianola. These activities include production of newsletters for the public and employees, development of the City of Indianola’s web site and overseeing the government cable channel.

The department provides other administrative and community service activities. It manages the internal wide area network, telecommunications, servers, and software that impacts the organization.
