Fire Chief's Message

The Indianola Fire Department is a combination fire department that provides both fire and emergency medical services to the citizen of Indianola and surrounding area. The department covers approximately 118 square miles of territory in the center of Warren County. As a combination department we have full-time, part-time and paid on-call staff that provides services 24-hours 7-days a week to all citizens in the department's jurisdiction.

The emergency medical services, as authorized by the State of Iowa, is capable of providing paramedic level care, which is the highest level of care you can receive outside of the hospital. With Warren County not having a local hospital we feel it is important to be able to provide the citizens the best level of service we can for the emergent needs of the community.
