Current Projects

Piano Project:

IPAC hopes you will sit down and play! In the summer of 2021, the commission acquired a piano, painted it, tuned it, and placed it at different businesses around the Square. The piano is currently at West Hill Brewery for the winter. The piano is available for anyone in the public to play during regular store hours for the business that is hosting the piano.

In late 2021, another piano was gifted to the Commission. Under the direction of Commission Member and Art Teacher, Monica Weinman, Indianola High School art students are sketching a design for the piano and will then paint it. The piano will be ready for the public in the spring of 2022.

This project was chosen by IPAC to attract visitors to our community and give them an incentive to stay longer.

The piano is currently at the Indianola YMCA for the winter season.
